The indubitable Adam Kuban of A Hamburger Today recently reminded foodies that May is National Hamburger Month. Well, after all the coverage that the beloved burger is getting this month, I can't imagine the claim going to a more worthy vittle. From The New York Times to The Washington Post, The Idaho Statesman to The Houston Chronicle, and The Philadelphia Inquirer to The New York Sun, food writers are regaling the hamburger in all shapes and sizes.

And to think, I'm going to be at a Memorial Day weekend barbecue where bratwurst will take centerstage. Hmm...

Perhaps June can be declared National Bratwurst Month.
