This past Friday I had a wee dinner party. The theme: Mac n' Cheese. The ingredient that put my Mac n' Cheese over the edge flavor-wise: Pancetta (pictured above).

Nothing like pork and cheese to say Jewish home cookery. Then again, I am a Hebrew school dropout.

And with that, I'm off to Gracie Mansion to go to a Jerusalem Day Reception.
