Hesser-Gate It Ain't

Enough already! The last few weeks, it seems like NY Times food writer and interim restaurant critic Amanda Hesser (picture above) has been hit from all sides, including the NY Observer, the Village Voice and a slew of bloggers and Web site posters.

Don't you people have something better to rant about? I enjoy a good smack-down media mess as much as the next fella, but let's face facts: She's no Jayson Blair. So, stop painting the poor girl as "the next big thing" to bring down the Grey Lady!

That aside, I still stand by my negative review of Spice Market. But, darn if I'm not glad that someone could get a good meal there, sans chair fondling!
