How can you not fall in love with a four day event devoted to one of the most under-praised condiments in the book - sauerkraut?

Tomorrow kicks off the 106th Sauerkraut Days celebration in Ackley, Iowa. Highlights will include free sauerkraut and wieners, a German band, a kids cabbage toss and a Sauerkraut Queen coronation.

Sounds like a damn fine weekend of fun to me. Gassy. But fun.
